The simple and easy to use software allows the end users and integrators to enable the naming of readers and tags to personalize the asset reporting and choose between two modes:

ASSET TRACKING MODE - which shows assets moving within the range of the reader.
ALARM MODE - which triggers a visual and audible alarm on the computer when an asset tag moves within an asset range.

SOLUTIONS STUDY

RFID in a Box is a complete Active RFID tracking solution that includes all RFID hardware and Asset Tracking software required. The RFID readers are preconfigured and designed to plug directly into the USB ports on the computer that will be running the system. The computer will auto discover the RFID hardware and the user can define the USB ports that the RFID Hardware is using.

• Gating: Tracking the movement of personnel through the range of an asset readers at entrance/exits
• Notification: alarm indication if tagged assets attempt to exit building
• Time Tracking: tracking the time employees were in the range of an asset reader located in the break room or cafeteria
• Movement Tracking: tracking the movement of items through the range of asset readers at different work process stations
• Notification: alarm indication if tagged assets enter an area not authorized

What if I need more tags and readers?
ACTIVE RFID in a BOX oftware solution can manage up to 5 readers and 100 tags. Buyrfid.com is happy to be able to provide the necessary readers and tags, the hardware components that make up Active RFID in a Box, if your application requires additional hardware. These can be purchased through our website.
 
I am interested in the product and how it can help me track assets but I am not a computer wiz, can I figure this product out?
Absolutely, the package includes a USB configured reader, so set up is as simple as installing the software and connecting the reader to your computers usb drive. All the instructions you need are in included with your order.
 
What is the benefit of using active tags over passive?
Active tags have their own power source and therefore for have a much greater range than passive technology.
